Directions to Drinkstone
Drinkstone is a small village to the south east of Bury St Edmunds.
Coming from Bury St Edmunds or Stowmarket, leave the A14 at Junction 47. Follow the road signs into Woolpit and turn right at the roundabout just before a fuel station.
Turn left in the centre of the village before a small grass triangle and very shortly, left again just past the fish and chip shop.
Then take the first right into Drinkstone Road. Follow this road to a T-junction, just over a small bridge, turn right and then follow this road until you see the Drinkstone village sign.
Take a left just after some white railings into The Street. Continue on this road for approximately 3/4 mile, passing first the church and then an electricity sub station both on your left.
The Village Hall, where the WI meetings take place, is the first building on your right just over the rise. It is a black weather board building with a pantile roof, set back from the road with a large car park at the front.
The total distance from the centre of Woolpit is 2.3 miles and should take about 7 minutes to drive.
