Our WI is a very friendly one.  We have a good mix of ages, experiences and interests among our members.  We meet in an historic building very near the centre of Bury St Edmunds and for this reason there is no parking nearby although there is a drop-off point opposite.  Our meetings last for about two hours and so if you are travelling by car you will need to park in one of the car parks around the centre.

There are four steps once you enter the building but we do have an emergency exit that is on one level.  If you're not as mobile as you would like to be please contact our President, Sherry, and she will explain how we can help you visit us.  We welcome all visitors, everyone is very friendly and you will receive a warm welcome.

Everyone arrives around 9.30am to have a good chat and then the meeting itself starts at 9.45 with the business part, which is just a quick review of the last meeting or outing, then we learn a bit about what's going on in the Federation.  Then we have a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit and another chat!  After this we have our speaker; as you will see from our Programme Page we have a variety of speakers and subjects, there's something for everyone.  We also have a stall selling all sorts of bits and pieces and a draw (where would we be without a draw!).
