Come and celebrate the launch of Women Inspired WI with Speed date style getting to know our group of women who wish to learn from each other and be inspired by so many more.
With Fizz and fun, we celebrated our first event deciding who we could bring to add to our knowledge.

Plants & Herbs Medicinal timeline
Sue Thompson a former consultant Paediatrician studied the time line of medicine through plants while working at Kentwell Hall she explained how our gardens can be full of healing help
July: Wednesday 3rd

Women’s Aid by Katherine Ahluwia.
A fascinating talk about the back ground and first women’s refuge in Bury St Edmunds. Katherine reminded us how to be more aware of coercive treatment and how asking the right questions can help people open up…

Pub Garden Meet Up
Woolpack Pub
7pm onwards
An opportunity to meet up have a drink at the Woolpack and chat in the garden. If you fancy pub games we can give them a go! It would be really nice to see you and foster friendships.
September: Wednesday 4th
Menopause and sleep
Fornham St Martins Village Hall
Allison Lambert Health Advisor talks about current options available to women along with the signs to look out for, that could be related to menopause or poor sleep.
An opportunity to ask those questions you just haven’t felt the need to book a doctor’s appointment for!
October: Wednesday 2nd
Fornham St Martins Village Hall 7pm
Whether you wish to get your hands on some clay or just watch others try.
Additional charge of £12.50 for clay, glaze and firing. Book you place at the September meeting.
There will an opportunity to purchase other pottery items if you so wish.
Please bring an apron. You don’t need to be creative - let’s just play with clay.
November: Wednesday 6th

A talk about environmental waste and how we can make a difference.
Sarah-Jane Clarke from FCC Environment will enlighten us with her rubbish talk………….
What to throw away, how to recycle, the impact this has on re using materials and much more.

Let’s get into the festive spirit with a talk by Peta from burystbiscuits.
With an opportunity to buy her beautifully decorated festive biscuits. Great Christmas gifts or to adorn your Christmas tree.

Learn Self Care with the Alexander Technique.
The Alexander Technique is a method of unlearning unhelpful habits which puts strain on our bodies and helps improve balance, walking, bending, sitting and standing. It’s easy to learn and once learned, is a skill for life.
Andrea is a fully insured and qualified Alexander Technique Teacher and register with CNHC.

An arm chair stroll of the streets of BurySt Edmunds, mixing fact, legend and entertainment.

Pudding evening - an opportunity to eat and share.
Bring along your favourite pudding and let’s share recipes.
If dessert cooking is not your thing, shop brought is great!

Our 1st AGM at Fornham Village Hall 7pm and time to chat.
If you would like to join our committee, we meet at the Woolpack once a month and would love you to join us. Many hands make light work!
