Annual General Meeting

At our AGM on the 21st May, Sophie Rickards stepped down from the role of President which she had carried out wonderfully well for 3 years.   However, fortunately she is remaining on the Committee and will continue to arrange the monthly lunch club.  Sophie thanked all members for their help over the years, especially Secretary Carole Cranston, and Treasurer, Ann Porter, without whom there would be no Hadleigh W!!     With no member wishing to become President, it was agreed that between them Rae Stapleton and Patricia Stevenson would be joint Presidents!    At the meeting, Pat Rocks, who now runs the raffle, celebrated her 90th birthday.   She had very generously made a cake, which was greatly enjoyed by the members, and with nibbles and Prosecco provided by the WI, we toasted her landmark birthday.    It was a happy evening.    Our next event is our Garden Party in the Guildhall on Monday 1st July - Gardens if warm and sunny, inside if not!
