What Cockfield W.I. get up to!
During the course of the year Cockfield W.I. entertains its members with various outings, activities and interesting talks. Some are close to home and some take our ladies across the country to join many other like-minded women. Have a look below at what we get up to.
After an intriguing talk at our monthly meeting on codes and enigma's some of our members and their guests visited Bletchley Park. They enjoyed an informative and engaging tour and saw many exhibits. A great day was had by all who attended.
In June 2015 two of our members were lucky enough to attend the W.I. Centenary Royal Garden Party held at Buckingham Palace. In the company of over 8,000 W.I. members our ladies dressed to impressed and enjoyed meeting women from across the country along with meeting some royals.
Bring & Share Birthday Celebration Supper
On Friday 11th March Cockfield W.I. held a Bring & Share Supper for its members to celebrate being formed in 1929. Both members and the committee provided mouth-watering treats that were enjoyed by all. As well as a shared supper the newly formed Cockfield W.I. Comedy Club provided entertainment and games that left everyone in giggles. Just shy of 60 members attended the evening which buzzed with life as we chatted with old friends and laughed with new friends. A great evening was had by all!
