April 13th - Craft Foxes

Well, there was me thinking I had finished doing reports, then Tricia out new media officer went on holiday!
I will make my apologies now for the lack of photographs of our fun evening with Michelle and her daughter from Crafty Foxes, in Bury St Edmunds. Time seemed to fly as we were all so engrossed in creating our  wonderful coaster.

Michelle made it all sound so much fun, but we were yet to be convinced. We were so intent on getting every step right, a little healthy competition is good, that by the time I remembered I was having to do the report we had finished! We were instructed in measuring (TWICE), cutting, choosing decorative paper, glueing, (in the correct manner) and re-glueing 3 more times. All the edges were well stuck down and then to smooth, smooth, smooth the surface removing creases and bubbles. Michelle then took over with the finishing spray to ensure they were heat and waterproof. So you can see it was full on concentration!
Then….. oh my gosh, what wonderful coasters we had made. We were all so impressed with our efforts.
I am sure my coasters will look lovely in the sunshine in my granddaughters bedroom in Kalkan. (Her mum doesn’t know that I have sneaked them into my suitcase!!)
